TrackUS is a medical ultrasound tracking application that was developed for Abbott Northwestern Hospital’s IMBUS (Internal Medicine Bedside UltraSound) program. Pioneered in Abbott’s Medical Education program, the application has been enhanced and expanded so that it is now available for use in any hospital.
The administrative features of the app are accessible using either Windows or macOS. The data entry/tracking module runs on mobile devices including iPhones, iPads, or Android devices.
A key feature of this app is its customizability. TrackUS is built on the Claris FileMaker platform which makes it possible to quickly customize the solution to track and report on the specific information required by each hospital’s unique educational or study requirements. TrackUS’s low cost, accuracy and ease of use makes it an investment that pays back quickly.
TrackUS allows for side-by-side flexibility when used alongside a system like the Tricefy web-based PACS (Picture Archiving and Communications System), which offers robust features for managing the actual images.
The following video is a 24 minute in-depth look at the TrackUS application. Residency programs and medical schools using a point-of-care ultrasound curriculum can adapt the application in this video to meet their program’s specific needs.
