SSL/TLS Certificates enable all communication with your FileMaker server to be encrypted in transit. This is required on FileMaker 17+ and recommended for all servers (on premise and cloud hosted) even if not open to the internet.
SSL/TLS is included as a standard feature in all of our FileMaker cloud hosting plans. This service is for special requirements or onsite / on premise servers.
This service includes a domain validated SSL/TLS certificate (valid for 1 year — the max allowed) plus installation on your FileMaker server.
Due to recently imposed limits on certificate validity, we are only able to offer 1 year certificates at this time.
We recommend fms.your-domain.com but any subdomain of a domain you own can be used. Unused domains (i.e. your-domain.net) can also be used, or registered for this purpose.
