Impact Shirts (also known as Ministry Gear) was formed for the purpose of making T-shirts and apparel for youth groups and churches. For more than 20 years, Impact Shirts has worked with hundreds of non-profits, schools, churches and businesses in all 50 states and beyond.

Impact Shirts has been using FileMaker internally to track all their jobs for about 10 years, and uses WordPress to power their websites. Impact Shirts chose LuminFire as their technology partner because of our expertise in FileMaker, Google Gsuite, Apple Mac, and WordPress.
Challenging Times
When COVID-19 hit, Impact Shirts’ business requirements changed and they needed to mobilize for remote work. LuminFire moved their on-premise FileMaker solution and file server out of the office and into the cloud so it would be accessible by all employees from their homes. Using LuminFire’s Brilliant FileMaker Cloud hosting, Impact Shirts could count on reliability, simplicity, and affordability.
LuminFire enabled authentication to Impact Shirts’ FileMaker solution via Google on the server and assisted them with upgrading to the latest version of Claris FileMaker 19. We then assisted with getting a 30 GB database file down to just over 1 GB. Doing so made life a whole lot easier for doing backups and transferring files! LuminFire effectively used AWS S3 and Google Drive storage to store many Adobe Illustrator documents and images that used to be on their local file server.
LuminFire also did a G Suite account review and optimization audit to ensure that their team was using this resource effectively.
Impact shirts is now making plans to have LuminFire connect their FileMaker solution to their WordPress website. LuminFire will use fmFlare to pull information into FileMaker via Gravity Forms. This integration will reduce or eliminate up to 4 hours of daily double data entry by automating form submissions, order status updates, and approvals/payment data syncs. We will also be able to push info from FileMaker into user accounts for easy online access. Using fmFlare and BrilliantPortal ensures seamless compatibility with future FileMaker and WordPress updates.
